Mission Statement: United Way of Allen County will positively impact the community by working together to understand needs, secure resources and strategically invest those resources to improve the lives of all people in Allen County.

Commitment to Inclusiveness: United Way of Allen County is committed to the principle of inclusiveness. The organization and its representatives are expected to act in ways that respect, support and protect the dignity, uniqueness and intrinsic worth of every person.

All United Way of Allen County Agency Partners meet strict standards for operations, governance, finance, inclusiveness and more. The agencies go through the Standards Process every two years and are reviewed by staff and trained volunteers. Partner agencies are eligible to apply for funding from United Way of Allen County. Funding is provided for individual programs, not for overall agency operations. Funded programs must address issues in three priority areas: Basic Needs, Success in School and Family Stability.
